NBS drops discount rate

The National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) reduced the discount rate from 11 percent to 9.75 percent. In a related note, the NBS will hold discussions in the first quarter of 1996 with the Japanese EXIM Bank regarding the provision of the second portion of a Two Step Loan for small and medium-sized businesses.
