ST moves ahead with job cuts

MONOPOLY provider Slovak Telecom has announced plans to reduce its workforce from 11,300 at the end of last year to 10,000 by the end of 2002 in line with efforts to streamline the firm after its 2000 purchase by Deutsche Telekom.
