Inflation drops 0.4 per cent in May

CONSUMER prices in June fell from the month before by 0.4 per cent, the first month-on-month fall since 1998, and were down year-on-year by 2.6 per cent, setting a new post-1989 record. Lower vegetable and oil prices were behind the drop.
