OECD predicts Slovak unemployment to fall

IN A REPORT on unemployment in member states, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has predicted the jobless rate in Slovakia will fall this year to 19.1 per cent from an average 19.3 per cent in 2001.

The OECD expects unemployment in Poland, meanwhile, to rise to 19.6 per cent, giving the Poles the highest figure in the 30-member club. The only other member countries with rates over 10 per cent will be Greece and Spain.
