Cabinet has fifth crack at IT tender

Cabinet has opened another tender for the supply of the state treasury IT system, and has set a bid deadline for September 12.

The last attempt to grant the tender was cancelled by the Finance Ministry in May after the Public Procurement Office (ÚVO) accepted a complaint by Siemens Business Services (SBS) that they had been unfairly excluded from the final round of consideration.

May's decision was the fourth time SBS had successfully objected to their exclusion from tender proceedings. In all previous tender attempts, Hewlett Packard had been chosen as the winner.
