More charges against Mečiar-era minister

A POLICE investigator has charged former Privatisation Minister Peter Bisák (1995-1998) with abuse of power as a public official for allegedly defrauding the state of Sk30 million ($670,000) while in office.

Bisák faces up to 10 years in jail if found guilty, and is already in court on other charges that together with former FNM privatisation agency head Štefan Gavorník he accepted a Sk12 million bribe.
