Schuster sends another law packing

President Rudolf Schuster has returned another important EU-related law to parliament for further debate, this time a Packaging Law which he says would put a burden on citizens to pay a deposit on disposable containers.

Environment Minister László Miklós was furious with the decision, as parliament may not have time at a special session in late August to pass the bill again, which it must do for it to take effect. The August sitting is the current parliament's last, with elections scheduled for September 20-21.
