SPaP share sale investigated

THE FINANCIAL Markets Office is investigating the sale of seven per cent of shares in shipper SPaP to the Restitution Fund from the Dunajservis company for five times the price the latter paid the state in April.

Both the Fund and Dunajservis are controlled by a group of financial investors including Penta Group. Small shareholders in the Restitution Fund have complained that the larger owners profited at their expense by pushing through the purchase of shares for Sk842 a piece after buying them for only Sk150 four months ago.
