Markíza again fined for Ano promotion

THE COUNCIL for Broadcasting and Retransmission, a state watchdog, has issued the Markíza TV station a Sk1 million ($22,000) fine for promoting the Ano party of station co-owner Pavol Rusko.

The station, which has long been criticised for allowing Rusko's politics to affect its news coverage, has said it is convinced it did not break the law.
