New Commercial Code takes effect

The first of September saw an amendment to the Commercial Code take effect which prevents the dissolution of firms to avoid the debt of the parent, meaning that creditors will be able to claim receivables from any daughter or successor of the original debtor.

The Code aims to reduce room for asset stripping and to increase the responsibility of company management to shareholders.
