Harsher discipline in parliament

SPEAKER of Parliament Pavol Hrušovský has promised to punish absenteeism among members of the legislature, which recently caused much public distrust in the institution, as harshly as the law allows.

Members of the Smer party have even proposed that MPs caught playing hookey be forced to do charity work to make up for their delinquency.
