SDKÚ re-elects Palacka to central body

In weekend elections to the leadership organs of PM Mikuláš Dzurinda’s SDKÚ party, treasurer Gabriel Palacka, dismissed as Telecom Minister in 1999 for corruption, was elected to the party’s governing body.

Palacka, a long-time ally of Dzurinda’s, attracted the fewest votes of any party member on the slate proposed by the prime minister.
