Slovakia's economic freedom still poor

ACCORDING to a survey by the US Heritage Foundation, Slovakia ranked 66th out of 156 countries in terms of economic freedom in 2002, the same result as last year, with corruption and red tape remaining the main barriers to business.

By comparison, the Czech Republic was ranked 35th and Hungary 44th.
