Kováč kidnap film a dangerous assignment

MÁRIO Homolka, the director of a documentary on the 1995 kidnapping of the former president's son, has reported being threatened by Ľuboš K., a former secret service agent who allegedly participated in the abduction.

Homolka said that Ľuboš K. had called him on his mobile phone 10 days after he filmed Ľuboš K.'s house with reporter Ľuba Lesná, who is working with him on the forthcoming film.

"He said if we used the material he would not let the matter rest, and stressed that he was a professional," Homolka said, adding that Ľuboš K. had somehow obtained not only his mobile number but also the make of his car.

The 1995 abduction of Michal Kováč Jr, and the subsequent cover-up of the role played by SIS special agents, was one of the main reasons Slovakia was not invited in 1997 to join Nato with its regional neighbours.
