Other ski resorts in Slovakia

IN ADDITION to the High Tatras, in December the ski season also starts in other ski resorts in Slovakia. For the growing numbers of domestic and foreign visitors, most of the resorts offer all the requisite activities of a winter sports holiday - snowboarding, downhill and cross-country skiing, night skiing, activities for children, alternatives for non-skiers and aprés-ski relaxation.
Skiing is often possible until March but because of the unpredictability of weather conditions at that time, it is advisable to check with the respective locations' information bureaus or with the Slovak Meteorological Institute at www.shmu.sk/snowinfo if you plan to ski that late in the year.
Below are the most popular ski centres listed by region. For more detailed information, visit www.yeti.sk.
