Letter to the Editor: Other things need strengthening too

Re: Dollar falls below, 40 crowns, By Tom Nicholson, Vol 9, No 1, Jan 13 to 19

It was interesting to be in Slovakia last week and note the sense of pride that being a sovereign nation brings. Part of this pride was displayed [when people told] me how strong the crown had become against the US dollar and UK pound.

However, this strength means that the margins must be addressed - otherwise the country will become uncompetitive and value-for-money services such as printing will see orders fall and jobs lost.
