Slovaks second-most unemployed among EU candidates

Slovakia ranks second among 10 EU candidate countries in terms of unemployment, with 17.5 jobless citizens at the end of 2002, while Poland is in the lead with 18 per cent, according to a report in the SME daily. Latvia ranks third with 16 per cent unemployment, while Hungary and Slovenia lead as the countries with the lowest jobless figures, 5.5 per cent each.
