Slovaks against deployment of soldiers to Iraq

A recent poll carried out by the Polis Slovakia agency shows that 60 per cent of Slovaks oppose the deployment of Slovak soldiers in Iraq.

The Slovak parliament is set today to vote on a cabinet proposal for the deployment of a Slovak unit to support the US in the event of military action against Iraq. MPs have indicated that they are divided on the matter.
