WORLD Health Organisation statistics showed that the average Slovak visits his doctors 16 times per year, a rate that makes Slovaks the most frequently sick among Europeans.
Health Minister Rudolf Zajac said the statistics were an indication that Slovaks misused health-care services, and argued that the planned introduction of payments for individual visits to doctors would cut down on the number of patients.
