Rastislav Káčer to Washington, DC?

DEPUTY Defence Minister Rastislav Káčer may replace the current Slovak ambassador to the US, Martin Bútora, sources suggest.

The Foreign Ministry refused to confirm or deny that Káčer was on his way to Washington, DC.

In accordance with diplomatic protocol, the appointment of an ambassador is not made public until it has been approved by the other country, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Boris Gandel.
