Strike costs railways Sk150 million

THE STATE-RUN railway companies have estimated preliminary losses of Sk150 million (3.5 million euro) due to the recent three-day strike of railway workers.

The walkout was in protest of cabinet plans to shut down 25 branch lines and reduce service on other routes.
