OMV expands to 81 filling stations

THE AUSTRIAN petroleum firm OMV says it will increase the number of its filling stations in Slovakia to 81 through the purchase of 11 Aral gas stations currently owned by British Petroleum.

With the acquisition, OMV will increase its market share in Slovakia to 15 per cent. The company had previously announced plans to increase market share in central and eastern Europe to 20 per cent by 2008.
