Letter to the Editor: Dzurinda is right

Dear Editor,

I applaud Prime Minister Dzurinda's position regarding Iraq. It is courageous. He has a long view of human history. We don't have to look too far back in history to know he is right. Regarding the US, the immigration bureau does not have long lines of people waiting to exit the country, however the lines of people wishing to enter the US are very long.

Should the free world not have interfered in Yugoslavia, and allowed the wholesale slaughter to continue? Did the nations that interceded go there for personal gain, in terms of territory or natural resources? Go back to the second world war: Did the liberating armies colonise Japan, West Germany, or Italy? They helped them rebuild and become economic powers, with human rights and dignity.

Sincerely,

J. Jonas
