Minister appeals Černák's release

JUSTICE Minister Daniel Lipšic filed an appeal to the Supreme Court February 25 against the parole of mafia boss Mikuláš Černák.

A decision on the appeal, which also challenges the parole of co-accused Miloš Kaštan, must be made within three months.

Černák was paroled on November 29, 2002, after serving five years of an eight year sentence for extortion. Immediately after Černák's release, Lipšic said he would challenge the decision.
