Reader feedback: NATO applicants disappoint me

Re: MPs send troops to gulf, By Lukáš Fila, Feb 17 - 23, Vol 9, No 6

Mr Bush is nothing but a puppet for the 'Hawks' and 'Big Business'. This up-and-coming war with Iraq has nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction, just oil and arms. I am saddened to see the new applicants to NATO jumping in in support of the US. What kinds of deals are being made in the closets of the White House?

I am Canadian and agree totally with the war on terror, but Iraq has nothing to do with this war. I think pressure to disarm should be placed on every country that keeps stocks of chemical and biological weapons, not just Iraq.

I would like to add that to this date Canada has not pledged support for a war on Iraq, but our prime minister has pledged our support for the United Nations. As Canada has since day one.
