MOBILE phone operator EuroTel closed 2002 with a net profit of Sk586 million (14 million euro), up by 91 per cent from the year before, the company's management reported.
EuroTel had 1.3 million customers at the end of 2002, representing a 27 per cent year-on-year increase.
According to EuroTel's estimates, mobile-phone penetration in Slovakia stands at 56 per cent.
