Flat prices rose by an average of 30 per cent last year, and are expected to rise again this year by 15 to 20 per cent, according to the National Association of Real Estate Agents. House prices are also rising but more slowly, at 10 to 15 per cent. The price for rental properties is expected to stabilize and may even drop in some areas.
The highest prices are in the capital Bratislava, where the average price of a three-room flat is 1,500,000 Sk (35,600 euro), compared with Sk410,000 (9,700 euro) in the small town Levice.
