Government must reduce corruption by May

Parliament has given the government until May to take steps to reduce corruption.

According to a resolution introduced by the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) party, the government has to expedite the introduction of laws on lobbying, financing of political parties, limitations on state officials' immunity from prosecution, and declaration of financial sources.

Five members of Mikuláš Dzurinda's SDKÚ and the Christian Democrat MP Jozef Miklušičák voted against the motion.
