OPPOSITION Smer party leader Robert Fico called for help from the US in investigating allegations that an unnamed Slovak state official had $40 million in foreign bank accounts.
The request came during an extra session of parliament on corruption and cronyism March 5.
Smer had called for the session to discuss a recent phone-tapping scandal and allegations linking members of the coalition to a prominent businessman. The ANO party angered its coalition partners by supporting the calls for the special session.
