Oľga Keltošová leaves HZDS

THE OPPOSITION Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) has lost another member, following the defection of 11 MPs from its parliamentary caucus last month and their subsequent expulsion from the party.

Oľga Keltošová said she was leaving the HZDS because leader Vladimír Mečiar reminded her of "Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceauçcescu, who in his final years was interested in nothing but money and power."
