Almost 29 per cent of the population trust opposition Smer leader Robert Fico more than any other Slovak politician, according to a March 10 poll by the Office for Public Opinion Research. This represents a rise of 9.5 per cent since January.
Opposition HZDS leader Vladimír Mečiar came second in the poll with 15.7 per cent, and Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda scored just 7.3 per cent.
More than 18 per cent of respondents said they did not trust any politicians.
