First request to strip immunity

THE PROSECUTOR's office has asked parliament to revoke the parliamentary immunity of Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) member Viliam Soboň, who has been under investigation for 28 months for business malpractice as head of the Sliač thermal spa in central Slovakia.

This is the first request to strip immunity since the general elections last September.
