Taxpayers to bail out ŽSR

THE RESCUE package for the state-run rail network operator ŽSR will cost taxpayers Sk30 billion (720 million euro) over the next four years, in payment of bank loans and staffing costs.

Not all the aid will be given in cash: Social welfare payments and outstanding state loans to ŽSR will be written off by the state.
