Slovak shares continue to rise

THE SLOVAK SAX share index has risen from 70 to 160 points from March 2000 to March 2003, despite difficulties in other countries' indexes.

Stockbrokers say the market has been buoyed up by companies such as Slovnaft, Slovakofarma, Nafta, and VÚB, which have attracted foreign investors.
