Ministry: "Command centre" needed

THE DEFENCE Ministry has suggested creating a new intelligence centre in Slovakia to respond to the war on terrorism. The new "command centre" would be staffed by representatives from various departments.

The ministry is preparing to bring its key strategy documents up to date. Defence headquarters representative General Jozef Blizman said that there would be a strengthening of existing military units, rather than a creation of new ones.
