Flats as expensive as new houses

THE PRICE of flats in Bratislava has risen so much over recent years that it is now cheaper to build a house than buy a flat, although red tape slows down getting building permission and many applications are unsuccessful, the daily SME reported.

Transparency International (TI) said that the whole state administration is rife with corruption, and processing building permits is no exception.
