STV begins planned layoffs

STATE television broadcaster STV announced the layoff of six of its top managers on April 3. Since January, 100 members of staff have been made redundant at STV.

The redundancies are part of 1,200 announced in February to help resolve severe financial difficulties at the state-owned company.
