Easter crafts in Horehronské Museum

THE ANNUAL Easter exhibition entitled Celebration of Spring recently opened in the Horehronské Museum in the central Slovak town of Brezno. It features typical Easter artefacts made by 42 producers from the Horehronie region. Around a thousand decorated eggs will be displayed, along with embroidered goods, wicker whips and baskets, honey cakes, and paintings, some of which are for sale.

A collection of eggs decorated by Oľga Lóránt-Leitnerová, a Slovak native living in Hungary, are also displayed at the museum. Lóránt-Leitnerová's egg collection is a part of the Golden Treasure from the National Museum of Hungary in Budapest.
