Central bank loses billions

The National Bank of Slovakia has reported losses of Sk5.75 billion (140 million euro) for the first quarter of this year. The bank predicts losses for the whole year to total Sk6.34 billion (154 million euro).

Last year the bank reported losses of Sk25 billion (608 million euro) - the first loss in its history.
