Slovak experience in Middle East to play role in Iraq

The US has promised a role for Slovakia in the rebuilding of Iraq because the country has long experience in the region, particularly in construction, energy, and distribution of humanitarian aid.

"It is a market like any other, depending on Slovak firms to show their worth," said Economy Minister Robert Nemcsics, returning from a trip to the US.

The Economy Ministry says it will develop a system for securing orders and collaboration with US companies and the US administration over the next few weeks.
