The Slovak printing industry is coping both with a crisis in the European printing market and the effects of large energy price increases at the beginning of this year, according to the Slovak Printing Association, which estimates that companies are working at between 40 and 80 per cent capacity.
"For us, the market in books and magazines has settled down, but we have seen some growth in the commercial and advertising market," said Vladimír Šrobár of Martin-based printers, Neografia.
The Slovak Printing Association reports that industry revenues were Sk8.6 billion (210 million euro) in 2002.
