Dzurinda thanks UK through run

SLOVAK prime minister Milukáš Druzinda on April 13 became the first prime minister to complete the London Marathon.

"I ran like everyone else, without bodyguards. It was a great feeling. This is the second time that I've run in a foreign marathon. Two years ago I ran the New York Marathon. This time I wanted to give a symbol of my thanks to the British, who have risked their lives in Iraq for the free world," said Dzurinda.

Dzurinda bettered his time in the New York marathon two years ago by six minutes, to finish in 3:36:20.
