Ice hockey fever starts

Pub owners are reporting a drop in sales as the International Ice Hockey Federation world championships get underway in Helsinki. People are staying at home to watch the matches or visiting the few bars with televisions.

Slovakia won its opening game last night against Ukraine 9:3.

Last year Slovakia won the world championships, leading to huge celebrations in the streets around the country.
