Tax income down in first quarter

THE GOVERNMENT has received 25 percent less income from tax and customs duties than expected during the first quarter of this year.

The Sk43.3 billion (€1.06 billion) figure is less than a fifth of the total income planned for the year. Direct taxes were at 95 percent of expected levels.
