BRITISH alternative band Asian Dub Foundation is well known for its mixture of reggae, jungle, and dub beats with elements of Indian sitar music. It is considered one of Britain's best live bands, with song lyrics that often criticise racism and the social policy of the country. Established in 1993, the band has recorded five albums. On its latest release, entitled Enemy of the Enemy, the musicians worked with, among others, Sinead O'Connor and Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien. Asian Dub Foundation will be performing in Bratislava's on May 9, at Aréna Theatre (Divadlo Aréna) on Viedenská cesta 10 in Bratislava. Tickets cost Sk530 in advance and Sk630 on the door. LUCIA Šoralová, a young Slovak singer, will be touring the country with songs from her latest album Zblízka (Nearby). Šoralová, who is also known for her performances in musicals, will be playing with her band - Dalibor Lupták (guitar), Braňo Valanský (bass), Vilo Vitéz (keyboards), Juraj Kuchárek (drums), and trumpeter Martin Ďurdina as a special guest.
