Reader feedback: Slovaks support Vatican treaty

What about public opinion? Letter to the Editor May 5 - 11, Vol 9, No 17

It is improper for expats living in Slovakia to pass judgment based on what they see on the news or read in The Slovak Spectator. Unfortunately most people don't go outside the major centres or tourist areas and therefore have no understanding of what Slovakia is really like. Many people seem to think that only politicians are pushing for closer ties with the Vatican when in fact, outside of Bratislava most people would support this idea. Slovakia and Slovaks are deeply religious.
