More Czech tourists in Slovakia

So far this season, Slovakia has seen more Czech tourists than the whole of last year. Every third tourist in Slovakia is Czech.

Travel agency Pressburg based in Olomouc in the east of the Czech Republic expects growth of more than 70 percent this year, mainly to spa towns.

Part of the growth is thought to be due to a preference for land rather than air travel, mainly because of fears caused by the SARS virus and Iraqi crisis.
