Dead boy found in Rimava river

A SEARCH party found the body of a 13-year-old boy in the Rimava river near the central Slovak city of Hnúšťa shortly before 14:00 on May 16, police reported.

The drowned boy and his 10-year-old friend from Hnúšťa had been missing since May 13. The body of the friend was found on May 14 in the same river, a kilometre upstream.

According to police, the boys said they wanted to take a swim in Rimava river on the afternoon of the day they disappeared. Their clothes were found on the riverbank.
