Sheepdogs kill shepherd

IN A tragic accident, five sheepdogs tore a 45-year-old shepherd to pieces on May 17.

The shepherd, Ján Kusnirak, was found by locals in a meadow near the northeastern Slovak village of Havka.

The dogs belong to a private entrepreneur from Havka. Ján B. He said his dogs had never hurt anyone before, but some Havka inhabitants claimed that they had been chased by the dogs in the past.
