FORMER deputy leader of the co-ruling New Citizen's Alliance (ANO), Anton Danko, has left the party, but wishes to remain in the ruling coalition. The coalition currently has an overall majority of just two MPs.
Danko's relations with the party cooled after he announced that he was to resign as deputy leader this January. He is reported to have described ANO leader Pavol Rusko as dictatorial, leading Rusko to comment that Danko's departure from the party was no great loss.
Rusko has been the leader of ANO since it was formed two years ago. It has been a member of the ruling coalition since last year's general elections.
